A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s amazingly easy to use, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just a single click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you’ll just have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective email address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as easy and takes yet another click on the exact same button.
